lissa_bear
Characters: Michael Scofield, Lincoln Burrows
Prompt: 21. Epiphany
Rating: R
Length: Medium
Brief summary: One thing I always loved about this story is that I think it was one of the first I read where Lincoln is pining away for Michael instead of the other way around. After a spontaneous night a very confused Lincoln tries to figure out what he really want. And his realization at the end never fails to tug my shipper heartstrings.

Afterwards, with a clear head, Michael talked the situation to death, over-thought it the way Micheal over-thinks everything, weighed every option, made a fucking pros and con's list, and decided that it could never happen again.
Lincoln's brain was about ten steps behind, too busy working out the how's and the why's and the oh shit's to be able to figure out what he wanted. He wanted to ask Michael about the E, about what made him think that taking it was a good idea, how he'd rationalized that decision. He wanted to ask why he'd shown up on his doorstep. He wanted to ask what Michael really wanted - to hell with what was right or wrong- but before he got the chance, Michael was gone.
