When Abruzzi closes the garden shears around his pinky toe, Michael curses his brother for always needing to be his hero.
Later when Lincoln asks to look at the damaged appendages, Michael's fist balls up uselessly at his side.There is pain in Michael's foot and pain in Lincoln's eyes and this is one fight that Lincoln could not win for him.
Michael knows it could all be smoothed away, made better, bandaged and healed with a comforting touch and a few soft words.
He lets it fester between them.
