Brief summary: This is not a death story in the classical sense although for nearly two thirds of this you will just think it is a matter of dead guys trying to capture their killers it gets more complicated when the first time element is introduced. With this one we see that death finally gives Fraser the freedom to talk about the feelings he kept hidden in life and therefore becomes also how he and Ray deal with this knowledge as well as how that impacts on their investigation. Not to spoil it but it’s ending is positive, upbeat and perhaps not what one might expect at the beginning but it is an excellent way of tackling how both characters view death.

Brief summary: This is not a threesome in the sense or three people having sex but more it plays on the way the three central characters interact; Fraser, Ray and Diefenbaker because in many ways there are 3 main leads in the show which some fic misses out. Not this one however because it uses Diefenbaker and his POV for a change rather than either Fraser's or Ray's and it shows how the wolf views the pack dynamic and he views it in this fic in the same way as a slash writer. It is Diefenbaker who gets his two pack mates together to see the obvious. One thing to love about it is the use of various names for Fraser and Ray by Dief.
