Claim: The OC, Seth/Ryan
Title: Down The Rabbit Hole
Author:
pettydetails
Characters: Seth/Ryan, Ben/Adam
Prompt: Crack!fic
Rating: unrated
Length: medium
Brief summary: It's wonderfully dreamlike and very surreal, and yet it's got a very realistic quality to it as well. It's also a very subtle inspection of season two's quality, but from Ryan/Ben's POV.
+ Ryan liked Seth better a year ago. Some days it feels as though they've been dropped into some really bad television series and Seth is saying things that Ryan can't even recognize anymore. It's like Seth's mouth is constantly moving, but nothing he says is even remotely Seth-like, and oddly - that's a bad thing.
+ From across the island, Sandy laughs and Ryan catches the words “method” and “actor” before his hearing shorts out from the blood rushing past his eardrums.
+ There's no view. They’re not even outside! It's just a wallpaper backdrop like photographers use to make it look as though you're sitting in Santa’s workshop, instead of some dingy outlet shopping mall where a pot bellied man who smells like stale cigarettes and gin squeezes your thigh, and your mother is licking your hair down with her thumb.
