Claim: The OC, Seth/Ryan
Title: The First Day
Author:
jae_w
Characters: Seth. Ryan.
Prompt: Death
Rating: unrated
Length: medium
Brief summary: This is a beautiful story told in second person, Ryan's POV, which isn't always easy to pull off, but this is written in a way that it's like being inside Ryan's head.
jae_w has a gift for quiet, amazing words, and this story is so well-written. Ryan is so tired - physically and mentally - and your heart just aches for him.
+ Your throat is all fucked up and when you try to tell them they say don't talk, you shouldn't talk, and their voices are loud and kind and one of the nurses gives you a pen but you just look at it in your hand. You're so tired that for a minute you can't even remember what you're supposed to do with it. Then you remember but before you can write no the police come and they take you away. You've never been so grateful to the police before in your life.
+ You don't want to go in the house because there are people in there. You think about going to the pool house and going to sleep, but you don't because there might be someone there too, someone waiting for you. Instead you walk around behind the house and stand looking out. You must have seen this view hundreds of times by now but somehow today it's like it's new. It's so incredibly beautiful.

Title: Holiday Spirits: an "I Never" Adventure
Author:
missdeviant
Characters: Seth/Ryan, Summer, Anna
Prompt: Holiday
Rating: PG13
Length: medium
Brief summary: Ohhhhh, drinking games and Chrismukkah. BEAUTIFUL. Heh, this story is hilarious and hot and wonderful, and it's Seth and Ryan and Summer and Anna playing I Never. It ends juuuuust before anything exceptionally risque happens, but it's dripping with hoyay and innuendos and things like "I've never given a blowjob" and it's just awesome.
+ Ryan gives Seth a look, as if to say “knocking. It’s the new trend,” heaves himself off the bed, and opens the door slowly. Summer plows through, weighted down by a green and blue box and a liquor bottle. “Okay, we’ve got Rolling Rock, and, in honor of Hanukkah, some Blue Cura…Curra…Cure-ah…” She waves her hand in dismissal. “However you pronounce it.”
+ “I’ve never given a blowjob.” Summer adds quickly, talking over Seth’s words.
“I think I need a shot for this one.” Ryan reaches for the bottle of red liquid while Seth boggles and Summer and Anna giggle over their sips.
“I *told* you!” Anna stage whispers to Summer, and Summer hits her playfully in return.
+ “Why don’t we ask some things *I* can drink to, huh? Like, like—oh! I’ve never beaten Mario Brothers in less than fifteen minutes!”
Seth reaches for the blue shot in the middle of the bed and slams it.
“Or, hey, I’ve never gotten 37 stories in a game of Jenga?” Seth darts his gaze around the circle, palms raised beckoningly.
Summer and Anna exchange glances, as if in relief that they let *this* prize slip away.
