Claim: Stargate: Atlantis, Rodney McKay
Title: Stockholm Syndrome (Tearing Down the House)
Author: [livejournal.com profile] mousewitchy
Characters: Rodney McKay, OCs, John Sheppard, Ronon Dex
Prompt: Loss
Rating: PG-13
Length: long
Brief summary:

A mission goes wrong and Rodney is lost. The Rodney characterization here is fabulous and nuanced, the gradual ease with which he falls prey to his doubts never feels false or rushed. As Rodney's perception and memory of events change over the course of the story it's clear that he's being subtly manipulated, but [livejournal.com profile] mousewitchy holds so closely to Rodney's pov that I still found myself sharing in his uncertainty, and totally able to understand why he comes to believe that he has not been lost, but abandoned, not kidnapped, but left behind.

Title: Visual Phallacy
Author: [livejournal.com profile] z_rayne
Characters: Rodney McKay, John Sheppard
Prompt: Discovery
Rating: NC-17
Length: medium
Brief summary:

Rodney finds a cool piece of Ancient tech, a variation on the Quantum mirror that allows him to observe other realities and, of course, uses it to watch and learn from the other versions of himself. He's expecting scientific insights, but what he discovers is something a whole lot more surprising. A wickedly hot bit of cross-dimensional voyeurism.

My tenth rec and first reccer's choice. My table is here

Claim: Stargate: Atlantis, Rodney McKay
Title: Fractured Fairy Tales
Author: [livejournal.com profile] amireal
Characters: Rodney McKay, John Sheppard
Prompt: Reccer's Choice
Rating: R
Length: long
Brief summary:

A great meta-take on John and Rodney's relationship, using the events of "The Hive" as a jumping off point. Rodney is not the princess in the tower, and theirs is not a fairytale relationship. [livejournal.com profile] amireal takes a clever structural conceit and incorporates it seamlessly into the story, creating a sweetly fulfilling and insightful episode coda that delivers a slice of reality much more satisfying than any fairytale happy ending.

My House M.D. Recs Table

Claim: House, M.D., General Series
Title: "one hundred steps"
Author: [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]
Characters: House
Prompt: 06. Anger.
Rating: PG-13
Length: medium
Brief summary: The anger is subtle in this fic but still palpable. Each step House takes is harder and it seems like he'll never get where he's going. Especially not since he can't move on from what brought him to where he is. A great feeling for House's character in this story. A great read.

Title: "Jungian"
Author: Esse, [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]
Characters: House, Wilson
Prompt: 24. Future Fic.
Rating: PG
Length: medium
Brief summary: I thought this was an amusing look at the future. What happens when House's current team gets used to him and to each other? How will he shake things up and decide to torture them next? It's a fantastic idea.

Claim: Doctor Who, general series
Title: Captain Jack's Seduction
Author: [livejournal.com profile] xanthelj
Characters: Ninth Doctor, Jack Harkness
Prompt: 30 - Seduction
Rating: PG-13
Length: Long
Brief summary: Jack plans to seduce the Doctor. The Doctor turns out to be not quite what he was expecting. Funny and in character, and with nods to the OT3 and TARDIS love.

Title: Crystal Palace One, The United Legions of the Planet Zartog Nil
Author: [livejournal.com profile] livii
Characters: Mickey Smith, the Tenth Doctor, Rose Tyler
Prompt: 32 - Secrets
Rating: PG
Length: Medium
Brief summary: Mickey gets an adventure with the TARDIS crew, an adventure he is uniquely qualified for. One of those stories that just reminds me why I love Mickey so much: He's snarky and brave in unexpected ways, and just such a regular bloke to contrast with the Doctor and Rose.
