Claim: NSYNC - JC/Justin
Title: "In Between Days"
Author: Cadence
Characters: JC Chasez, Justin Timberlake, the Syncs
Prompt: Fluff
Rating: G
Warnings: //
Length: Short
Brief summary: JC tells an interviewer that his favorite time of day is "the time in-between" and Justin falls over himself, trying to think of what exactly he means. It's a sweet little story that will make you love your significant other even more (and quite possibly steal the answer) or make you wish you had someone, especially since it's around Valentine's Day. Cadence does an amazing job with a short story that could have been so cliché because you don't think of it that way.

Claim: NSYNC - JC/Justin
Title: "Scarred Souls"
Author: Jericho
Characters:JC Chasez, Justin Timberlake
Prompt: Dark
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: //
Length: Short Story
Brief summary: One of the first stories I had ever read in this pairing, Jericho captured the "dark" them in every sense of the word. There's the literal sense of happening in the middle of the night but there's also the imagery and the stories that they're told. It takes place on a campground that they probably shouldn't have been anywhere near and they pay for what they've done. This is definitely a different type of story that will make you do a double-take and ask, "Wait, what just happened?" and then you'll have to reread it to see if what you read was really there.

Claim: NSYNC - JC/Justin
Title: "Sound"
Author: Liz W.
Characters:JC Chasez, Justin Timberlake, the Syncs
Prompt: Character Study
Rating: PG
Warnings: //
Length: Long - almost 7,500 words
Brief summary: This is a beautiful beautiful piece that I personally think is a great story about Justin's character. Justin realizes one day that while he can still hear everyone else, JC's singing voice is something he can no longer here. As he struggles to find out why, he learns more about himself and the way his friends see him. It's a great read; it flows smoothly and it's easy to put yourself into Justin's shoes. Liz has a knack for keeping the boys in a realistic setting. The story reads like a memoir almost (without the use of "I" at least) instead of a story because it's so well-written and is so realistic. I actually don't know if there's someone who hasn't read this story already.

My Qui/Obi Table [So sorry I've been lax. I'm back on the horse, I promise.]

Claim: Star Wars Prequels: Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan
Title: The Rabbit Hole
Author: Saraid
Characters: Qui-Gon mostly, Obi-Wan and Mace make appearances.
Prompt: 31. Discovery
Rating: G
Length: Short, 13k
Brief summary: Qui-Gon learns two things. This is a Qui-Gon POV that works. Qui-Gon is believable throughout and he acts (thinks, rather,) like a real person. Also, other then a cool description of a training room at the beginning, the writing isn't overly descriptive. A mellow Qui-discovers-he-has-feelings-for-Obi fic. It's worth a read.

Title: A Small Price to Pay
Author: Cori Lannam
Characters: Qui, Obi, Mace, and TheBoyWonder (Anakin)
Prompt: 35. Threesome
Rating: PG
Length: Short, 13k
Brief summary: Qui-Gon breaks a hip and Mace wants an explanation. I don't really like threesome stories, but this one is an exception. It's non-graphic and very funny. I love Anakin in this, he's so... earnest. A nice little what-if story that leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy. In a good way.

My Sheppard/McKay rec50 table.

Claim: Stargate Atlantis: John Sheppard/Rodney McKay
Title: A Beautiful Lifetime Event
Author: shalott ([livejournal.com profile] astolat)
Characters: Sheppard/McKay and others
Prompt: 29 - Oops
Rating: Mature
Length: Novella
Brief summary: 'Oops' to me means accidents, and there are two cliches that occur to me when I think 'Accidents' and 'Atlantis'. The first is, of course, male pregnancy, and the second is 'malfunctioning ancient devices.' So I wanted to pick a story that combined the two in some way, and while this isn't really an mpreg story, as neither of the men carries the child, it does play with some of the tropes.

The one thing I would say that stretches my incredulity, though, isn't the kid element, but rather the length of time it takes for the guys to remember that they have dicks. But it's not a bug, it's a feature of this story, meaning that the story has a long time to do the relationship build-up, detailing out how they realize that they are in love.

Title: Thrill Ride
Author: cupidsbow ([livejournal.com profile] cupidsbow)
Characters: Sheppard/McKay
Prompt: 30 - Seduction
Rating: Mature
Length: Medium
Brief summary: This one isn't deliberate seduction, with long, drawn-out plans and schemes to lure someone into bed. Instead, this is more a 'seize the day' type of seduction, when the moment bursts forth from opportunity rather than foresight. Great banter and friendship, moving into something more, and winding up hotter than a hot thing is hot.
