Claim: "Without a Trace," Jack/Samantha
Title: Waltz at Midnight
Author: Kate Anderson.
Characters: Jack Malone, Samantha Spade.
Prompt: 42. Holiday.
Rating: PG.
Length: Short.
Brief summary: Once again, the author captures the atmosphere of the city, and Jack and Samantha happily existing in it. There's such a joy to this fic -- Jack telling the cab driver to let them off "anywhere" because that's how it is in New York City. It's fun and spontaneous and exciting -- a lot like their relationship. And it seems very in-character that Samantha would not know the words to "Auld Lang Syne."
