Claim: Nsync: Lance Bass
Title: Out Not In
Author: Julad, at ambivalent pleasures and [livejournal.com profile] julad
Characters: Lance, Nick Carter, Justin, Howie Dorough, sundry club goers and bouncers
Prompt: 12 Humor
Rating: sex
Length: short
Brief summary: This story about how a very drunk Lance met an equally drunk Nick in a club none of them liked, is absolutely hilarious. Total over-the-top, high-quality cracked-outness. It was one of the first stories I read in popslash, and it's a story I know I will re-read again and again in years to come. Every sentence is a little gem, every line of dialogue a potential quotation.

"Fucking Howie!" Nick shouted as they sprinted away from the shouting bouncers.

"Fucking Justin!" Lance shouted back, checking over his shoulder. Their pursuers had given up already, and that gave Lance a warm glow of satisfaction - fuck them all, because these boyband types could outrun any gym queen who cared to chase them.

He dragged Nick into a side street and then into a doorway, and noted with glee that they weren't even out of breath. Nick's glittering eyes said he was thinking the same thing. Well, that, Lance thought, as Nick slammed him against the door and kissed him like he was starving, or he was thinking something else.

Title: Backstage
Author: Pen, at Pen's Nest and [livejournal.com profile] pensnest
Characters: Nsync, Anthony
Prompt: 20 Non-Con
Rating: -
Length: very short (less than 500 words)
Brief summary: I'm going with the other definition of non-con here, and this story is just about as non-conventional as you can get. Not in content, but in how it's told. Pen makes great use of a very different literary mode and uses the potential for humour inherent in the great difference between content and style in a wonderful way.

Here's one. 'Tis Lance, whose beauty like the sun
Doth flame in shining yellow. Lance, what gives?
Is there some problem in the quiet room?
