One Thousand Deaths, Blankets of Pansies

Title: One Thousand Deaths

Brief summary: Slytherincess explores what Pansy goes through after HBP, and Draco's dissapearence. While Pansy looks for comfort in new things, Theodore tries to figure out exactly what is going on in her mind. A very engrossing fic, one that will be sure to warm your heart at this teenage friendship.
Theodore looks up suddenly when he hears the plinkling spatter of small, hard objects bouncing on the stone floor, and he sees Pansy has twisted the pearls at her neck so tightly that the string has snapped. Pearls roll wildly and she doesn't stop reading, nor does she make a move to gather them back. Theodore watches as she draws the empty tatter of string from around her neck, its clasps still fastened uselessly; he leans forward and picks up a pearl and rolls it between his thumb and forefinger.
"Just leave them," Pansy says, laying the remnants of her necklace in-between the pages of her book. She still does not look up.
Theodore puts the pearl into his pocket, but leaves the rest untouched. He knows the House Elves will gather them and put them aside for her, just as they do for all lost objects they come across during the course of their duties. If Pansy ever wants her necklace back she will know where to go to begin the restoration process.

Slytherincess has kept this gem of a fic suprising, yet comforting, with her twists and kinks at almost every corner. Harry and Pansy revisit their past relationship, and are quite suprised when two unexpected visitors find them in the middle of a compromising situation.
"Wasn't it, though? Just put her over there --- you can lean her up against the wall." Harry carefully situated Hermione against the wall, like a log propped and ready for the fire, whispering frantic apologies to her before turning back to Pansy. "Now," Pansy said, snaking her arms around his neck after he returned to her, "where were we?"
"I'm not -- I can't . . . not in front of Hermione!"
"A pity. Surely you've fantasized about shagging someone in front of someone else, haven't you? What, you've never shagged someone with an audience? The great Harry Potter? Oh, come on . . . surely you must have! We sure came close . . . ."
