If it's self-explanatory, like the threesome prompt featuring a threesome, then you don't have to. If your reasoning is more oblique, like for instance I just wrote a fic for a different threesome challenge featuring three scenarios in which other characters discover the relationship between the two main characters, then you might want to give a sentence. It's not necessary, is what I'm trying to say in my very convoluted manner. :)
