Claim: Popslash - NSYNC/BSB Crossover
Title: "Love and Other Miscommunications"
Author: Deidre
Characters: JC Chasez, AJ McLean, Justin Timberlake, Nick Carter, and many other Syncs and Boys
Prompt: AU
Rating: R, probably NC-17 towards the end
Warnings: //
Length: Long short story
Brief summary: An AU that captures the personalities of every character frightfully well and blends in a dash of humor. JC works at a bookstore near the college campus where AJ goes to school and works at the radio station. It's a chance meeting and afterwards, it's a long journey to start a relationship that they both want, despite warnings. Just like in any college setting, there are rumors and complications and crushes that shouldn't be had. A great read for any AU lover and originally part of the DWNOGA.

The piece of paper still sat there under the edge of a coffee cup, JC’s name and number written in his own, large, blocky writing. He poured a bowl of frosted corn flakes and after a sniff at the last of his milk, dumped that in, also. Sitting down, he shoveled the cereal into his mouth as he thought.

For a moment last night, AJ had thought JC might bolt in spite of the little tickle of interest he’d felt from him; he’d had that half-surprised look that he’d seen on the faces of straight guys he’d tried to pick up, or had teased just for the hell of it.

But then JC had relaxed and smiled, and AJ’d thought, oh holy hell.

Title: "Used"
Author: Chris J
Characters: Justin Timberlake, AJ McLean, originals, a few Syncs
Prompt: Character Study
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: AJ/Sarah, Justin/Britney
Length: 19 chapters (and 3 interludes)
Brief summary: This is an intense piece that mainly focuses around AJ and life after being in rehab. The emotions are strong and everything seems to fall into place as each chapter moves on to the next. Justin seems to be more of a secondary character though a very important one. It seems AU what with AJ working in a used car lot, but it's most definitely not and readers will get caught up in AJ's life.

"Have a nice trip, or whatever it is you're doing."

"Just going for a drive," said AJ, finally finding the pack and lighting one with an almost-empty book of matches from a truck stop somewhere in northern Florida. "So talk to you soon?"

"Yeah, talk to you soon," said Justin, and he sounded like he meant it. There was a moment of silence when neither of them spoke, then Justin disconnected the call.

AJ finished half his cigarette, leaning back and staring at the sky, then started the car again and pulled back out onto the highway.
